XPS Live | The future of pensions under the new Labour government

XPS Live | The future of pensions under the new Labour government

18 July | Thursday | 3pm - 4pm

We now have a new government in the UK for the first time in 14 years and one that has committed to a review of the pensions landscape to improve retirement security. Their manifesto has clearly signposted that they will look to reform workplace pensions to take advantage of consolidation and scale, improve pension outcomes and increase investment in UK markets.

Join us on the day after the opening of Parliament and the King’s Speech, where we will reflect on any policy announcements and debate the impact this may have on our industry and, importantly, your pension arrangements.

We will cover:

  • What the new Labour government means for DB and DC pensions schemes;
  • Potential impacts on key short-term measures such as the new funding code and DC value for money;
  • Any possible divergence from previous policies not yet finalised such as DB surplus;
  • Opportunities to support your members and employees through innovation in retirement provision as part of any pension reform;
  • Where you should focus your attention for your scheme.

We would welcome your thoughts and ideas so please feel free to share these with us here ahead of the webinar and we will reflect in the discussion
