Funding and Investment Strategy regulations bring a host of new considerations and concepts for trustees to get to grips with. This two-part training session is aimed at trustees who are facing their first valuation under the new regime in the second half of 2025.

Join our XPS experts who will help you develop your understanding of the new requirements ahead of discussions at your next trustee board meeting.

The training sessions will cover:

• Valuation process: The decision-making process under the new Funding and Investment Strategy regulations, and a jargon buster for the new terminology.
• Covenant: The increased importance of assessing sponsor covenant in the new regime, and how this feeds into strategic decisions.
• Setting a low dependency target: Consideration of what investing for low dependency means, and how to set the basis.
• Statement of strategy: The contents of the new statement of strategy and the Pensions Regulator’s fast track regime.

Please note that these sessions are an updated version of the sessions run in February. We will be providing updates on new developments and experiences of the new funding regime over the last six months, but the sessions will be based on the same content as the previous version.
