XPS’s annual Member Outcomes Survey reveals that access to enhanced support and quality, independent financial advice at retirement could help those who transfer from defined benefit schemes receive up to 15% more income each year in retirement. Encouragingly, 64% of members covered by the survey have access to some form of support or an increased range of options.
Our five annual surveys analysed over 13,000 transfers out of defined benefit schemes, worth over £3.5bn, to help understand the likely outcomes for transferring members.
