FRC confirms XPS Pensions Group continues to meet standards of the UK Stewardship Code

The Financial Reporting Council has announced that XPS Pensions Group has again been successful with its 2023 application to the 2020 UK Stewardship Code. XPS was first successful in its first application, back in 2021, when the new Code was introduced.
The UK Stewardship Code places significant weight on outcomes and assesses stewardship policies in practice. XPS’ submission highlighted significant activity that took place including:
- Rating 255 investment funds on ESG with bespoke feedback provided to 60 investment managers
- Identifying and awarding 15 new funds our Sustainable designation, to help our clients implement their investment strategies in a sustainable way
- Issuing seven sustainability-based thought leadership briefings keeping for clients and wider stakeholders
- Progress against our firm level net zero strategy.

The announcement was in respect of XPS Pension Group’s recent submission, submitted in April 2023, covering the reporting year up to 31 December 2022.
